In addition to these 19 devices, an unknown number of additional phones will also be cut from T-Mobile, with owners of these models receiving notification via SMS on December 28.
T-Mobile is offering subscribers the option to replace their phone, losing support from T-Mobile for one of four free models, including two Galaxy “A” mid-rangers
T-Mobile, in a memo sent to representatives, said that subscribers are likely to enter stores looking for an upgrade. Representatives were instructed to check the latest offers available to T-Mobile and Metro customers in order to sell them a new device. Despite this comment in the internal memo, customers received T-Mobile’s traditional mail dated December 18, listing four free phones that customers can choose to replace their current handset that is being launched outside the T-Mobile network. They will have a month to select between Samsung Galaxy A21, Samsung Galaxy A11, Alcatel Go Flip 3 or one T-Mobile REVVL 4.
T-Mobile REVVL 4 is one of the free replacement phones that T-Mobile is offering to its subscribers whose older phones will soon lose support on the T-Mobile network as of January 29
O The Galaxy A21 has a 6.5-inch LCD screen with 720 x 1600 resolution and 20: 9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 chipset with 3 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage. The rear camera suite has a 16MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front is a 13MP selfie snapper and a 4000mAh battery that keeps the lights on. The Samsung Galaxy A11 features a 6.4 inch LCD screen with 720 x 1560 resolution and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. Driving the phone is the Snapdragon 450 with 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage (20.3 GB available to users). The phone carries a 13 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP Macro camera.
The Alcatel Go Flip 3 has a 2.8 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 240 x 320. The flip phone has a secondary screen of 1.4 inches and is powered by the Snapdragon 210 chip. It carries 0.5 GB of memory and 2 GB of storage. A 2 MP camera is available. Finally, the T-Mobile Revvl 4 is equipped with a 6.2-inch LCD screen with 720 x 1520 resolution and a 19: 9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset; there is 2 GB of built-in memory along with 32 GB of storage (24 GB available to users). The rear and front cameras weigh 13 MP and 5 MP, respectively.
Of course, you are not stuck with one of those four phones. You can always shell out some of your own money and buy a more interesting device like the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a OnePlus 8T or others. And we must emphasize that, according to T-Mobile, this has nothing to do with the operator’s requirements that all devices used by T-Mobile and Metro subscribers be equipped with VoLTE capabilities from the next month.
