Idaho women wear burqa at City Council meeting to “protest” with masks

An Idaho woman gave a bizarre speech at a local city council meeting, saying that she had to wear a “damn burka” to avoid wearing masks during college classes on campus.

A woman who identified herself as Katie Dugger expressed her frustration over the mask’s mandate and shared why the masks were a burden in her life during a city council meeting in Lewiston, Idaho, on Monday.

Dugger, wearing a colorful outfit with a scarf on her head, complained that she took a semester out of school because she didn’t want to wear a mask.

“I took a vacation last semester at LCSC (Lewis-Clark State College) because of all this nonsense because I can’t wear a mask,” she said.

“It doesn’t matter why, but it’s very traumatic for me to put on a mask, because of something that happened to me when I was a child.”

Dugger went on to explain why she was chosen to wear her eccentric outfit instead of wearing a mask.

“I’m wearing this because the only way to go to school today was because I had to act like I was wearing a horrible burka and go like this so that I could go to school and cover my face like I was a Muslim because I you can breathe through it, at least, ”she said.

“This is thin enough that I can breathe. The way for me to go to school and get my education is to have to dress like a goddamn Muslim, ”added the woman.

Dugger also downplayed the vaccine during the speech.

“If they want to get a vaccine, get a vaccine, get Bell’s palsy and drop dead two weeks later,” she said.

Idaho reported more than 161,000 cases of COVID-19 and 1,714 deaths as of Wednesday, according to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
