I was once abducted at gunpoint in Africa

Rebel Wilson revealed that she was once abducted with a gun while on vacation in Africa.

She said the “petrifying” night took place in “rural Mozambique” and left her and her group fearing for their lives.

“We were in that cattle truck and these men came in another truck with many weapons,” recalled the Australian actress in Sky One’s “Straight Talking” series (via Daily Mail). “[They pulled up beside us] with big guns and they said, ‘Yes, you have to get off your truck.’ “

The “Pitch Perfect” star, who did not specify when the incident occurred, said his group obeyed orders and was taken to a “home in the middle of nowhere”. Despite her fear, Wilson said she managed to stay calm.

“I felt very good in the crisis,” she recalled. “I was like a team leader.”

“They sat us down and I said, ‘Everyone, hold your arms’, because I was petrified during the night with the possibility that they might want to take one of the girls or something,” she explained.

Wilson said the hijackers released the group in the morning and they fled to the South African border. Although they never received an explanation of why they were taken, Wilson said he believed it was because of smuggling.

“I think maybe those guys, maybe, used us to smuggle illegal stuff in the bottom of the truck,” she theorized.
