As a true lover of theater and the theatrical arts (I saw Jeremy O. Harris’ Slave game a little over a year ago that it was great, and a musical by Idina Menzel in 2013 or ’14 that my companion at the time aunt had given us for free tickets to, what was so boring we got out of it during the break), I really appreciate the theater that Maya Rudolph is bringing to her Saturday Night Live promo.

On site, the comedian and ex SNL çast member, who presents tonight’s episode of NBC’s sketch comedy show, is asked by current cast member Chris Redd if she is ready for spring. She answers, for Vulture:

Rudolph: Am I ready for spring, Chris? Spring! Tthe symbolic representation of birth. Nnew life. Nnew beginnings. spring! Thim inaugurating a new dawn after the long, cruel winter night. spring! ONE blossoming of a new beauty. NNew promise. Nnew Hope. Ask me again, Chris, I’m ready for spring.

Redd: Uh … are you ready for spring?

Rudolph: Yes. Yes I am.

Observe the spot below and enjoy the night. Or not! You’re an adult!
