HyperX made its first 60 percent mechanical gaming keyboard

Most major gaming peripherals companies have already introduced 60% of mechanical keyboards, which are more compact than normal versions and have become fashionable in recent years for aesthetic and size reasons. But at CES 2021, HyperX is finally following suit, launching its first compact model called Alloy Origins 60. There are fewer keys here than one of its full-size options, but not necessarily fewer functions; you will find that most of the available keys have secondary functions that can be activated by holding down the function button.

This is not the first time that a 60 percent keyboard bears the name of HyperX. The company collaborated with the enthusiast brand Ducky on a limited release of the company’s One 2 Mini, injecting it with some of the HyperX brand and its internal Red linear mechanical switches. Likewise, the Alloy Origins 60 has these same keys, with a USB-C port to connect it to your computer. It can store up to three profiles with its built-in memory, which you can connect on the keyboard itself or via the HyperX Windows 10 application. The application also allows for some extra features, such as allowing you to customize the LED lighting and define your own macro commands for the keys.

HyperX says that its included keycaps are double-shot PBT, which means they are much more resistant to glare and have the letters wear out after a lot of use. This model will launch in the USA on February 22 for $ 99.99. On the topic of availability, HyperX also announced during CES 2021 that its Pulsefire Haste wired gaming mouse, Cloud II wireless gaming headset and Cloud Revolver 7.1 wired gaming headset are available globally.
