The Raiders and Dolphins were three and three in their first possessions, but Las Vegas got on the scoreboard first.
Hunter Renfrow prepared the team’s short touchdown with a 32-yard punt returning to Miami 43. Noah Igbinoghene made the tackle to save the touchdown.
But the Raiders reached the final zone, however.
Derek Carr, playing despite a groin injury in the Raiders’ last game, scored in a 1-yard run with 8:25 remaining in the first quarter.
Carr’s run culminated in seven plays and 43 yards.
Carr was 2 of 4 in the unit, reaching Nelson Agholor for a 16 yard gain and Renfrow for an 11 yard. Josh Jacobs had two 15-yard loads.
