Hunter Biden texts overturn Secret Service denial about firearm incident

Hunter Biden sent a text message saying that the Secret Service responded after his weapon disappeared in 2018 – contradicting the agency’s claim that he was not involved, the Post learned.

In a long message sent the following year, President Biden’s son described the situation in detail, saying that his ex-sister-in-law who became a lover, Hallie Biden, threw the firearm in a trash bin outside Janssen’s Market, a gourmet grocery store in Wilmington, Del.

“She stole the gun from my trunk and threw it in a trash can filled to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then he told me it was my problem, ”wrote Hunter.

“So when the police, the FBI and the secret service came on the scene, she said she took it from me because she was afraid that I would get hurt because of my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she feared for children.”

The January 29, 2019 message adds: “I’m not kidding, the policeman kept me convinced that Hallie was implying that he was scared of me.”

In another message, sent closer to the incident, Hunter described the weapon as “my 38”.

“I took it out of the truck box and put it in a paper bag and threw it in the trash can at the local grocery store. For no reason, ”he wrote on December 6, 2018.
“And I freaked out when I saw that it was 10 minutes after she got it and when she came back to get it after I scared the hell out of him, he was gone, which led to a state police investigation of me. True story.”

Both messages are contained on a hard drive obtained by The Post containing the contents of a damaged laptop that was left at Wilmington’s workshop by Hunter in April 2019 and never recovered.

The Macbook Pro laptop was later seized by the FBI, apparently as part of what Hunter said last year was an investigation into his “tax affairs” by the Delaware Public Prosecutor’s Office.

On Thursday, Politico reported that the incident involving Hunter’s .38 caliber occurred on October 23, 2018, and that the firearm was removed from the trash and delivered several days later by an older man who found it while looking for recyclable items.

During the course of an investigation into his disappearance, Secret Service agents approached the owner of the gun shop where Hunter bought it 11 days earlier and asked for the purchase-related paperwork, the Politico said, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The store owner declined the request, suspecting that the Secret Service wanted to cover Hunter’s property if the weapon was later used in a crime, the Politician said.

The owner later handed the documents over to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which regulates the sale of weapons, the Politico said.

Police officers told the Politician that any involvement with the Secret Service – whether on behalf of the Biden family or on their own initiative – would be inappropriate because the incident was being investigated by the Delaware State Police and the FBI.

In a statement on Thursday, the Secret Service denied any role in investigating the missing weapon.

“The US Secret Service records confirm that the agency did not provide protection to any member of the Biden family in 2018 and that the Secret Service had no involvement in this alleged incident,” said the agency.

The Secret Service doubled over the statement on Friday, saying: The agency claims that there was no involvement of the Secret Service in the matter described.

The White House said on Friday that it was standing by a Thursday statement that said: “President Biden had no knowledge or involvement in the Secret Service’s alleged role in this incident, and neither he nor any family member was protected on that time.

The White House also said on Thursday: “President Biden had no knowledge or involvement in the Secret Service’s alleged role in this incident, and neither he nor any family member was protected at that time.”

The octopus is an extraordinary creature – and not only …

Hunter sent text messages to ex-famous psychiatrist Keith Ablow, a former Fox News contributor whose Massachusetts medical license was suspended in 2019 and then expired.

The Massachusetts Board of Medicine labeled him “an immediate and serious threat to public health, safety and well-being” because of allegations that he “engaged in sexual activities and violations of limits with several patients, diverted controlled substances from patients, engaged in disruptive behavior, including displaying and pointing a firearm on several occasions in a way that scared an employee and obtained his license renewal fraudulently. ”

Hunter also sent the 2019 message to Hallie, with whom he acknowledged having an intimate relationship after the death of her husband, her older brother, Beau Biden, and while he was away from his now ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle.

According to a July 2019 profile on the New Yorker, Hunter and Hallie split up several months after they started living together in August 2017, after which he moved to Los Angeles in early 2018.

Hallie did not immediately return messages left on two phone numbers listed in his name, and Hunter’s attorney did not immediately respond to an email asking for comment.

Ablow declined to comment.
