Human hunt for Sean Lannon: armed and dangerous suspect in 5 murders last seen in NJ, police say.

A man wanted for the murder of his ex-wife and three other people in New Mexico and another victim in New Jersey remained on the loose on Wednesday as the police sought help from the public.

Sean Michael Lannon, 47, of Grants, New Mexico and a former New Jersey resident, is suspected of a homicide on Monday in East Greenwich Township, Cumberland County. Authorities described the victim only as a man who had been known to Lannon for a long time, but did not disclose any additional information.

Lannon is also described as a person of interest in the deaths of four people whose bodies were found on Friday in a vehicle left in an airport garage in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Three of those victims, Jennifer Lannon, 39, Matthew Miller, 21, and Jesten Mata, 40, were previously reported missing from Grants, a small town about 80 miles west of Albuquerque.

Sean Lannon is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The US Marshal’s Service announced a $ 5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Jennifer and Sean Lannon divorced in 2019, according to New Mexico court records, with a judge ruling in favor of Sean Lannon. The lawsuit sought custody of the couple’s children.

Authorities confirmed that the children are safe.

The Lannons are originally from South Jersey.

A relative of Jennifer Lannon in South Jersey declined to comment Wednesday morning, saying the family “was not allowed” to speak publicly until the killer was found.

Elk Police reported a burglary in one home and attempted burglary in a second, according to a probable cause statement filed with the theft charges against Lannon.

A resident of Memorial Lane reported that his home security camera captured a “well-dressed man” outside carrying a plastic bag from Royal Farms and a kitchen knife about four inches long. Later on Monday morning, that resident contacted the police to report that he saw the same man in the side yard of a house and, when confronted, the suspect ran away.

The owner of a nearby residence returned home and reported finding several items that did not belong to anyone in the house, including the purse and the knife. “Several other items” were found in the house that did not belong to the residents, the owner told the police, although the statement did not indicate what those items were. Grants police said last month that Jennifer Lannon and Mata were wanted for questioning on Miller’s disappearance. On February 26, police said Daniel Lemos, 45, was wanted for questioning in the disappearances of Jennifer Lannon, Miller and Mata.

Lemos was described at the time as armed and dangerous.

Miller’s aunt told KOB4 TV station in New Mexico that Lemos and Miller are related and that his nephew was “just in the wrong place at the wrong time and just giving someone a ride.”

Authorities in New Mexico described the investigation as ongoing and did not reveal how Sean Lannon may be connected to Lemos and how the victims died.
