The Marvel movies gave us a lot of things that fans probably thought they would never see on the big screen, like Thanos destroying half of their entire lives or a version of the superhero civil war that really makes sense, but one thing that didn’t give us it’s Marvel’s established tradition of watching AIM’s nameless henchmen in their full beekeeper outfits being meaningless mowing. Finally, however, Hulu and Patton Oswalt are here to fill that void with MODOK, a new animated series about Marvel’s most famous metal organism, designed just to kill. Confused? Well, this trailer shows everything very clearly, even Oswalt’s MODOK questioning a poor SHIELD Agent (oh God, those acronyms!) About what his name stands for.
The trailer description on the YouTube page mentions MODOK being kicked out as the leader of AIM and how he will have to fight his “ruined marriage”, so there will definitely be more going on here than just Oswalt killing his own henchmen and also Nick Tontos of Fury . MODOK will debut on May 21st.
