Despite its ongoing Android and Google software problems, Huawei continues to launch some high-quality smartphones, and now we have taken our first look at the next flagship phone we expect from the Chinese company.
Unofficial renderings of the Huawei P50 Pro were posted by a regular @OnLeaks leaker, and while they don’t reveal much in terms of the phone’s design, it looks like we’re going to get another very polished Huawei device.
We also have some details about the screen and dimensions of the Huawei P50 Pro: it will apparently come with a 6.6 inch screen, with a total size of 159 mm by 73 mm (6.3 inches by 2.9 inches).
No doubt you’re wondering how this compares to last year’s Huawei P40 Pro – that phone came with a 6.58 inch screen and measured 158.2 mm x 72.6 mm, so it looks like this year’s edition will be almost exactly the same size.
We can be sure of the accuracy of this rendering given the reputation of @OnLeaks, but there is only a front view of the phone for now. It looks like the power and volume buttons are to the right of the device from the user’s perspective, usually.
Although the screen is not turned on, it is possible to distinguish a single hole for the selfie camera, so it doesn’t look like we will have a dual lens front camera like we did with the P40 Pro.
We haven’t heard much about what to expect from the Huawei P50 Pro or Huawei P50 yet, but if Huawei follows the same 2020 schedule, then the flagship device pair is expected to appear around March. We can also see a Pro Plus model.
There are still doubts about how Huawei will supply components for these phones, considering its continuing problems in doing business with companies in the United States, but we will undoubtedly hear more about leaks and rumors in the coming months.
