How Trump and Biden are spending Christmas Day

Oh Christmas t-shirt, oh Christmas t-shirt.

President Trump spent Christmas Day doing what he does best, hitting the links at his Trump International golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, where he will celebrate the holidays.

The president was seen arriving just before 10 am on Christmas morning with Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, one of his main allies in Congress and a golf partner.

But Trump was also photographed with a much rarer companion: a pair of reading glasses.

The coiffed commander-in-chief, 74, was grabbed on the back of the Beast with Graham, wearing his “Make America Great Again” cap and a pair of glasses.

Meanwhile, President-elect Joe Biden was also back where he spent most of 2020: inside his country house in Wilmington, Del., With wife Jill Biden.

Biden’s transition team closed at 9 am, which means that the former vice president will not be making any Christmas trips.

In their holiday message released Friday morning, the president-elect and his wife acknowledged that they were going to spend the holidays alone – skipping the Christmas Eve dinner they usually offer for up to 25 relatives.

“We’re going to miss our family, but that’s what we need to do to keep our family safe,” said Biden.

“We hope that you will consider limiting travel and the size of family reunions this year as well.”

Before leaving Washington, Trump vetoed a $ 740 billion defense project and refused to sign a $ 2.3 trillion COVID-19 assistance project and government funding.

It is unclear when he will return to the White House, although he is expected to return to Washington on the first day.
