Last year, we completed a list of the ten most sweaty films in the game. Many of these skins have maintained their “sweaty” status, but we’ve seen many updates in the Item Shop since then.
As most players know, a Fortnite sweat is not just distinguishable by skin. Your pick and back bling also tell a story, which is why we’re opening this list to include additional sweaty Fortnite cosmetics.
As we said, many of the skins from last year are still soaked with sweat, so we won’t include them here. If we lose an obvious sweat skin like Crystal, Sparkplug and Aura, you can find them on our old list. This was designed to be an addition to the list, rather than a replacement.
OG Cosmetics
We listed the “OG” skins from Season 1 and 2 in our last article, but we did not mention the back bling, the emotes, the glider and even the banner icon that accompanies them.
OG sweatshirts almost always wear a Season 2 skin, a Black Knight bling or a Banner Back Bling displaying the OG Battle Bus icon – something that only Season 1 players have.
Bling banner / back cover shield
Speaking of the shield and the cover of the flag, this is another favorite of the sweaty Fortnite community.
We’re not seeing as many Banner Bregade skins as we were last year, but the two back bling options are still very common.
It is easy to understand why. These are the only cosmetics that make your Banner mean anything, and the customization options make it a good value.
Mermaid skin
Thanks to Benjyfishy, the mermaid skin has become one of the most sweaty skins in the game. The EU professional started using the skin as soon as it was released, and his legion of fans followed.
Epic Games even offered Siren’s skin and the Star Wand pickaxe (discussed below) as a Benjyfishy pack. It’s safe to say that Siren became one of Fortnite’s sweaty skins last year.
Driver’s Pick
Driver Pickaxe is a sweaty cosmetic that we understand perfectly. The animation of the swing and the harvest sound it makes can be a favorite of any pick in the game.
Sweaty Fortnite players love the pick because it is slender and relatively quiet.
Rideable gliders
Sweaty Fortnite players love mountable gliders. This includes gliders like Dragacorn Glider, Astroworld Glider, Silver Surfer Glider and a few others.
Players using mountable gliders are a little harder to hit while in the air. This isn’t a big benefit in the current Fortnite season, but it’s always something you’d like to have on your side if you’re taking Fortnite seriously.
Chaos Agent Skin
The Chaos Agent is one of the only male skins that experienced players regularly use. It’s easy to see why, as it shares the same benefit as most women’s skins – a smaller character model.
Tfue used this skin as the main skin when it was first released – while he was still playing. Partly for this reason, many other competitive Fortnite players have started to pick it up and use it in tournaments.
Sun Sprout Back Bling
The Sun Sprout back bling may be the most sweaty back bling in the game. We don’t understand why this is the case – except for the professionals who use it – but here we are.
Anyone who buys Sun Sprout, at least, thinks he’s good at the game. They probably spent hundreds of hours in Creative Mode and shouted, “Boxed like a fish” in a high-pitched, prepubertal voice each time they defeat an opponent.
Dynamo Pele
We almost didn’t include Dynamo on this list because we were sure we did it last year.
Dynamo has been one of Fortnite’s most sweaty skins since its launch, mainly because Mitr0 and other professional players used it as their main skin.
We’ve included Dynamo in our most hated Fortnite skin article, and it continues to this day – partly because of how sweaty players perceive it.
Star Wand Pickaxe
Why is this pickaxe so sweaty? Your guess is as good as ours. Many professionals use it, which undoubtedly increases sales, but we don’t really know why it became so popular in the first place.
Noise is minimal, which is an advantage, but so is the noise from many other Fortnite picks. There was a short period of time that this pick was bugged and did 75 damage, but we doubt that is why so many highly qualified players still use the Star Wand.
Either way, Star Wand is the most sweaty pick in the game at the moment.
Superhero skins
Against all odds, superhero skins have become the most sweaty skins in the game. Even male variants are generally used by skilled players, which is rare.
Part of the reason why superhero skins are so sweaty now is the all black variant. We have written several articles covering how difficult these skins are to see, and Epic is working on a fix.
Even if this skin style is deactivated, superhero skins will remain one of the most sweaty skins in Fortnite. By the time this article was written, they may even have overtaken Aura as the number one sweat skin in the game.
So there you have it: the 10 most sweaty Fortnite cosmetics for 2021. It will be interesting to see which skins, picks, back bling and even gliders will take over the throne over the next year.
We are sure that we have lost some cosmetics, as we have limited our list to just ten. Let us know what we jump on Twitter @FortniteINTEL.
