The Florida Gators men’s basketball team has been on the rise lately, winning their last four games, including two exclusive wins against Quadrant 1 competition, which took them (back) to college polls.
Now ranked 22nd in AP Poll and 23rd in Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll, the Gators are looking to continue their rise in their home against South Carolina’s Gamecocks fighters tonight. And I’m not kidding about the “fight” part – the ‘Cocks lost the previous game to the humble Vanderbilt Commodores, handing Vandy his first victory in the Southeast Conference game while beating his streak of six straight losses.
This is the only time this season the two will face each other, except for a possible encounter in the SEC Tournament. Interestingly, the road team won each of the last four parquet meetings between these two schools.
The announcement is scheduled for 6:30 pm EST at the O’Connell Center, Gainesville, Florida, and will be broadcast on the SEC Network, broadcast live on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators Sports Network.
