Awesome Games Done Quick returns today for an online version in 2021. If you are in any way unfamiliar, the popular charity marathon regularly features a schedule full of people running various video games broadcast live online, and historically included an in-person event that people can attend. With the coronavirus pandemic still going on, however, things should be a little different this year.
The full event starts today and should continue as you read this. The first is a Mirror’s Edge run, and the day should end with Pikmin 2. The complete program of the event is available online and, as usual, there should be an archive of the races that go up after the fact. As usual, you can watch the entire event as it takes place on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel. Incredible Games Completed Quick 2021 Online is scheduled to end at dawn on Sunday, January 10th, after a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time run.
Because it is a charity marathon, Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 Online will support the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an American non-profit organization focused on the prevention and early detection of cancer. All donations made to the event go directly to the foundation. Last year’s event raised more than $ 3.16 million for the nonprofit and, as always, there is every intention to break that figure this year.
