How to unlock immortal margins in dead cells

Dead cells fatal fall stage of fractured shrines

Dead cells recently it got a lot bigger. From this week Fatal Falls The expansion adds a crop of weapons and enemies to the game, as well as two new biomes. The problem is that access to these two zones – the Fractured Sanctuaries and the Immortal Shores – escapes a simple explanation. Classic Dead cells, right? Here’s how to find them.

Fractured Shrines

This is easy to achieve. After defeating the first boss – having to follow the path that leads me to face the Concierge, at Ponte Negra – you will see an elevator in the next antechamber. Take it to the top. Quite easy.

You shouldn’t … Eh, that joke is overblown.

When you reach the end of the Fractured Shrines biome, you will be faced with a door to the Undying Shores. Unless you have explored each pixel of the Fractured Sanctuaries, it will be blocked, with no explicit direction on how to unlock it.

Observe the two statues on each side of the door – specifically, how they are wearing hooded robes. You’re looking for a corpse in that outfit. It will be hidden against a sarcophagus in some dusty corner of the layout generated by stage procedures.

Once you find the corpse, you will need to use the Homunculus Rune (right button, at least on the Switch button) to detach your “head” from your body and own this corpse. From there, just go through the rest of the level normally. (Don’t worry, you’ll keep your equipment.) The statues that guard the door must pull an opposite Gandalf and let him through. You will also unlock the blueprint for Cultist’s Outfit, which, as a bonus, costs just one cell to unlock.

(There is a potential hiccup: since you only get the Rune Homunculus after you have successfully completed your first race, it is not clear whether players who have not done so will be able to access the Immortal Shores or not. Kotaku contacted the developer Motion Twin for clarification.)

You only have to do this once; the door to Undying Shores will remain open in its future races. Apparently, there is a boss at the end of the stage, an alternative to the Time Keeper, who appears on the Clock Room stage. I am very rusty in Dead cells so for now, i have no idea what this new enemy looks like or how the hell you defeated him. Good luck!
