After becoming familiar with the basics of Monster Hunter Rise, the real game of grinding rare materials for high-level equipment can finally begin. While it is usually necessary to wait for a scene every time you finish a mission, a simple trick allows players to skip this brief vignette, reducing downtime between hunts.

I was informed of this trick by a competitor of the fighting game Zerpin, but the secret spread quickly within the Monster hunter community after Ride upThe March 26 launch. The technique involves hovering in the air with the game’s new Wirebug mechanics as the mission comes to an end, which for some reason causes it to ignore the post-mission scene.

In the video above, I show how missions usually end and demonstrate the easiest way to use the Wirebug trick. While in the air – jumping from an elevation or flying in the air with ZL + X – pressing the A button will cause your hunter to be suspended above the ground for a few seconds. Fortunately, this window is very generous, so it should be easy to take advantage of, even after missions that end with a countdown, as long as you shorten the time.

People in Monster hunter subreddit noticed that the scene failed to play in other situations too, such as when the player is running up a wall, knocked over by an explosion or inflicted by the conditions of paralysis and sleep.

Monster Hunter Rise is a fun new addition to the long-running franchise, and that trick should go a long way toward making it even more fun for those who are experimenting with end-of-game equipment. Then again, some of the end-of-mission scenes involve bonding with your companions – species of cats and dogs known as Felynes and Canynes, respectively – so you may not neglect them every time you complete a mission.
