How to schedule an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Valley Walgreens locations

Some Valley residents are sharing their tips on how to schedule an appointment to receive Walgreens’ COVID-19 vaccine.

Several Walgreens locations have received a handful of doses through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program for COVID-19 vaccinations. This week, Friday and Saturday appointments were booked quickly and there are currently no appointments available.

“It said there were consultations available, but when you clicked it it said, ‘Oops, there are no consultations available,'” said Bev Grassy, who received his first dose of Walgreens’ COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday. Grassy said the key to finding a compromise is simple, keep updating the website page. “I am very happy to have succeeded.”

The same tip comes from Susanne Solmes, who constantly updated the scheduling page available on the Walgreens website before winning the so-called “scheduling lottery”.

“Fortunately, after about seven hours of consultation, I joined,” said Solmes.

Debbie of Sun City West said she was lucky to enroll friends online using a computer and discourages using a phone or tablet to register. She told ABC15 that Walgreens will have new office hours on Tuesday at 6 am or Wednesday at 6 am

A Walgreens pharmacy told ABC15 that “the supply is not 100 percent guaranteed”. Adding the pharmacy isn’t sure how many appointments will be available in the next week because the amount of vaccines given at that specific location is unknown.

According to pharmacists at Walgreens 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Central Phoenix, 100 vaccines are given there, and consultations will be available on Friday and Saturday.

CVS is also scheduled to be part of this new pharmacy launch. but when we touched the base with CVS, but they didn’t have a timetable for when operations could start in Arizona.
