How to redeem Double XP tokens from Modern Warfare in Black Ops Cold War

Treyarch confirmed plans to bring Final Killcams back to Black Ops Cold War, albeit only for Search & Destroy playlists, after months of Call of Duty fans begging for the end of game replays to be added to the 2020 title .

Call of Duty has always sought to evolve with its annual titles, often losing resources – both popular and unpopular – in an effort to keep the Juggernaut FPS franchise ‘fresh’.

In Black Ops 4, Treyarch made the call to withdraw the ever popular Final Killcam. In their place, they introduced a new replay of “Best Play”. While many enjoyed the exchange, Search & Destroy fans were not at all satisfied, to say the least.

The Search & Destroy community believes that Final Killcams are “Perfect”For your preferred game mode, and we are inclined to agree; ‘SND’ is about one on one duels and flashy final plays. It makes sense to show them above anything else.

Fortunately, it looks like Treyarch has finally decided to make a change.

Treyarch “ready” to add Final Killcams again

Beginning in early 2021, all Search & Destroy lobbies at Black Ops Cold War will implement a “hybrid system” that will choose which end-of-game replay will be shown. This will include both “Best Plays” and the iconic Final Killcams.

“We have a ready-made design for a ‘hybrid system’ that will play Best Play or Final Killcam, depending on what the round ends,” confirmed Matt Scronce, chief game designer at Treyarch at Twitter on Thursday, December 31st.

Scronce added that “there is no ETA” when it will be sent to active servers, however. It will not be implemented “until we are back from our break,” he said.

Considering that Scronce confirmed that the system is “ready”, fans of Search & Destroy probably won’t have to wait long. Treyarch is expected to be back in early January; this means that a new update to Black Ops Cold War should not be far behind.

Dexerto expects this new “hybrid system” to be included in this patch.

While Treyarch is giving in to how the end-of-game replay works in Search & Destroy, there was no mention of other Black Ops Cold War playlists. This probably means that the other modes in the title will get “Best Play” replays , for a while.

We will make sure to inform you if these plans change at any time in the future.
