How to Give Villagers Toy Day Gifts – Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wiki Guide

Last edition:

This page is part of IGN’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide and details everything you need to know about giving gifts to residents of your island!

Giving gifts to residents will be available after you complete the Jingle tasks. Visit the How to Complete Jingle Tasks page to learn what you need to do to complete it.

Once you are done with Jingle tasks, you can start this part. But you won’t even be able to give a gift to a resident unless the gift is wrapped in wrapping paper! You can use any wrapping paper you want, including festive wrapping paper. If you don’t have any, talk to a villager and he’ll give you 3, but after that, you’ll have to buy your own.

It is impossible to give a resident an “incorrect” gift! They will appreciate everything you give them, so Anhka will be perfectly happy to receive a dinosaur toy. After all, that’s what the season is about: it’s you who think about them that counts!

It is important to note that you can still give gifts to the villagers who gave you toys while you helped Jingle deliver gifts; after all, they were Santa Claus!

As a thank you for giving them a gift, your villagers will give you a gift of their own; there is no correlation between the toy you give to a resident and the toy you give in return. However, they will always be a different color from the toys you can buy at Nook’s Cranny during the holiday season. This is great for those who want to collect all variants of Puppy Plushie!
