Black Ops Cold War Zombies has a new game mode, and Outbreak allows players to level up their weapons extremely quickly, earning huge weapon XP with ease.
It’s time for a new Black Ops Cold War season, and that can only mean that there’s a lot of work to do.
Whether progressing on the Battle Pass, unlocking new camos or raising the level of your new weapons, there is always something to work with.
But there is a new mode that makes it much easier to grind your new weapons from Black Ops Cold War season 2. We are referring, of course, to Outbreak.

How to quickly increase weapon levels in Cold War zombies Black Ops
If you’re looking to level up your new weapons from Season 2, Cold War Zombies’ Outbreak is the best way to do it.
Thanks to the way the game mode grants XP, it is easily the best way to raise the level of your new unlocks. This is particularly true during the current Black Ops Cold War Double XP period that is in progress at the time of this writing.

If you want to get weapon XP as soon as possible to increase the level of your weapons, here’s what to do:
- First, enter an Outbreak game. You can do this very well on Solo, but having 4 players in a game gives you more XP.
- Then, grab your weapon of choice and kill all the zombies on the map.
- That means driving to all locations, killing all hordes of roaming and shooting more spawns through events and entering homes.
- As with standard Cold War Zombies, players accumulate weapon XP more quickly in the previous rounds of the game. Therefore, you will quickly accumulate XP near the start of Outbreak, thanks to the large volume of zombies on the map.
- Take advantages like Stamin-up and Deadshot Daiquiri in order to make the process of killing zombies faster. Fortunately, you can get free perks in the Cold War Zombie Outbreak mode.
- Since you are earning so many points and redemptions, you will be able to pack your weapon and upgrade its rarity. No matter how far you go in the game, you must be completely overwhelmed by it.
- However, the weapon’s XP starts to drop around Round 3. Therefore, after completing the third main objective of the game, it’s time to go out and collect your weapon’s XP.
By doing this process only once, YouTuber Caspahz was able to take Fara 83 from level 1 to level 40. You can also unlock camouflages with this method, at similar speed.
