Sebastian Stan compared The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for WandaVision in a new interview. The first Disney + Marvel Cinematic Universe series ended after taking fans on a mysterious journey. All the mystery that surrounds WandaVision left much to the imagination, which led to wild fan theories and speculation. Some of these theories left some MCU fans disappointed, while others were completely satisfied with the chances that Marvel Studios had to turn left with the story of Wanda Maximoff and Vision.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is next for Disney + and Marvel Studios, and Sebastian Stan says it will not be similar to WandaVisionattempt to get out of the box. In a new interview for Total Film, Stan says, “I think WandaVision it’s a really interesting and different show from Marvel, and it’s tonal to its own world. “However, the next MCU series will not be launched as far as the last series, although it has its own vibe. Stan had that to say.
“I think we are also in our own world, in line with what captain America franchise films were – The winter soldier, Civil war – and therefore I think we are taking a much more basic and identifiable approach. “
The first footage of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier let MCU fans know that they were returning to familiar territory. “It’s a continuation of the story and we finally have enough time with these characters,” says Sebastian Stan. Stan’s Bucky Barnes, along with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson are the main components of the MCU, but fans haven’t really seen them in the same way as characters like Thor and Iron Man. Stan continues: “We never had a chance to really understand where they came from and the ability to explore that in the tone of the films, to have the action and now more of the character, has been very good.”
WandaVision has taken MCU fans on a long journey over the past few months through the use of classic sitcoms. It took time for the Marvel aspects to really take over, which infuriated some longtime fans, while the mystery of slow burning intrigued others. As for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it looks like it will be more in line with the classic MCU narrative that we saw earlier on the big screen.
Anthony Mackie previously spoke about what is at stake The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, noting that Sam Wilson never agreed to take on Captain America’s iconic shield when Steve Rogers passed it to him at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. “Where will the shield end?” asked Mackie. “And who’s going to be Captain America, and that nickname is coming back?
