How Kyle Van Noy supposedly feels about meeting potential patriots

Kyle Van Noy will have his term with the Miami Dolphins coming to an end.

The Dolphins linebacker was not released for the transfer of transactions from the NFL on Tuesday, but he apparently confirmed that this will happen by expressing that he was “disappointed in the (Miami) decision”. The NFL Network later reported that the Dolphins would try and trade Van Noy before releasing it completely.

This comes a season after coach Brian Flores and the Dolphins signed the versatile defender for a $ 51 million four-year contract.

Doug Kyed of NESN.com reported on Tuesday that regarding a potential return from the Patriots “everything is on the table”.

It appears that Van Noy, who played three and a half seasons in New England, is also not ruling out a meeting.

Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald wrote on Tuesday, citing sources, that Van Noy “did not rule out signing the Patriots” if he is released.

The 29-year-old had 69 tackles, 10 loss tackles, 10 quarterback hits, six sacks, six pass splits, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during the 2020 Miami campaign.

He was one of the Patriots’ best defenders in 2019 before joining the Dolphins in a deal that reportedly earned him $ 30 million. Van Noy won two Super Bowls in New England and would rejoin a Patriots team that lacked depth and experience as a linebacker – especially with the exclusion of veteran Dont’a Hightower.

At least one Patriots player seems to be hopeful that the return will be in the near future as well.
