How JJ Watt can fit into the Browns: Orange and Brown Talk

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns need to improve their pass rush and a good pass rusher has just hit the free agent market. The Texans and striker JJ Watt agreed to part ways and Watt was officially released on Friday.

Watt has a history of injuries and he is not the long-term answer like the second rusher pass, but he could certainly offer a bridge to a draft choice and could help the Browns have some cap flexibility for years to come.

Watt is not the player who cleared the defensive player of the year awards – the player who plagued the Browns in 2014 when they were trying to get back into the playoffs – but he is still an effective pass rusher who would benefit from playing on the other side of Myles Garrett . Garrett, of course, would also benefit from a pass rusher like Watt.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ellis Williams and I talked about Watt and whether the Browns should hire him. Listen using the player below or click here to listen if you don’t see the player.
