How fast did the wind roar where you live in Upstate NY? One point reached 68 mph (graph)

Syracuse, NY – Wind gusts of up to 110 km / h hit upstate New York today, cutting down trees and cutting power for thousands of customers.

The strongest winds reported by the National Weather Service were at Dunkirk Airport, where a 68 mph gust was recorded just before noon.

Several points in western New York reached 60 mph, including Buffalo, Batavia and Fredonia. Roads across the region were closed by falling trees and wires.

Gusts of 80 km / h or more reached almost all counties from Chautauqua to Oneida.
