“It gives us more people playing, more eyes on it, which means we get more feedback, not just in terms of raw data and analysis, but we get feedback from the player saying, ‘We love this character and we want more of it. ‘Or:’ We like it or not it is working as we wanted due to the balance of it ‘”.
And this decision to postpone to allow a launch via PS Plus, which entitles all subscribers to the service to a copy of AllStars, makes a lot of sense considering that there are more than 40 million PS Plus subscribers by Sony’s latest announced count, the that gives this brand new franchise to the internal audience. But Berry also explained how the delay gave the team time to make adjustments that will benefit players as they head straight for car combat action.
“One of the main things that we polished in that time period was, um, integration, the message of the rules of the game to people,” said Berry. “We had some systems for the tutorial that were working, but we knew it wasn’t right. We knew we had plans for the post-launch, we will do this and we will do this. And then, all of a sudden, we don’t have to wait for the post-launch now, let’s put it all in. “
Players will be able to see what awaits them soon, as Destruction AllStars will be available as a PS5 exclusive on February 2. For more information on this week’s exclusive PS5 release, check out the latest news on Destruction AllStars modes, coins and more.
