How close is your zip code to reaching the goal of 50 coronavirus cases per 100,000, set by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine?

CLEVELAND, Ohio – As Ohio moves toward Governor Mike DeWine’s stated test before raising health claims for 50 cases per 100,000 residents in two weeks across the state, zip code data allows for a more local view of where things are they are.

Case rates in most of Greater Cleveland still exceed 100 cases per 100,000, according to Ohio Department of Health zip code data as of Friday.

Only 14 postal codes from 173 regionally had rates in the range of 50 to 100 cases per 100,000, while rates for 125 others were higher.

Data was not provided by the state for the other 34 postal codes in the region, but this can generally be considered favorable. The state retains, for privacy reasons, the details of any zip code that has less than five cases in total and zip codes with less than 100 residents.

Use this database to find the latest coronavirus rates for your zip code and others in your area. The case dates are based on when the symptoms started, not when the cases were actually reported. But remember, the governor’s promise to suspend his health claims is tied to state fees, not county or zip code fees.
