Aaron Rodgers is heading to the NFC Championship, but which longtime quarterback will join him?
Rodgers and the best Green Bay Packers won a convincing 32-18 victory over the Los Angeles Rams during the NFC Divisional Round on Saturday. Rodgers and the Packers will now host Tom Brady’s Buccaneers winner against Drew Brees’ Saints, which is scheduled for Sunday night.
Rodgers, admitting he was still in celebration of Saturday’s victory, shared enthusiasm for the next challenge.
“To be honest, I’m still having fun with this one. There is a lot of time to think about these things. My initial reaction is that these guys are great players. It’s been a long time, ”Rodgers told reporters after the game.
“It will be, I don’t know if it will be the oldest, but the combined age of the starting defenders will definitely be up there, competing for the championship,” continued Rodgers. “I’m sure you’ll find out at some point and write something about it, but I’m really happy for our guys, definitely a little emotional thinking about what we’ve been through. I am still very happy with everything that happened tonight. “
Rodgers had 23 of 36 passes for 296 yards with three touchdowns (two passes) in the win. It will be the first time that Packers have hosted the NFC title game since 2007.
