HOUSTON – Houston police are responding to a riot on Saturday afternoon at the Galleria Mall, according to authorities.
Police said people were running through the Galleria, located at 5100 Westheimer Road. The incident happened near the Macys, police said.
According to Twitter users, there was a possible shootout at the mall.
About an hour later, HPD said there was no confirmation of a shooting, no victims had been registered, according to a municipal authority on Twitter.
I just spoke to a public information officer from the Houston Police Department. There is no firing confirmation. There are no victims accounted for. They are still talking to people, but it may have been a false report. Let’s wait and see.

It is not clear whether anyone was injured or what led to the shooting.
