Hot, windy and wet Christmas Eve! Cold Blast Christmas Day!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A strong cold front is coming towards us tonight! Some showers are advancing this morning, becoming more widespread in the afternoon, before the cold front. Some showers can be strong to strong, with the possibility of some storms (from 2 pm to 9 pm). The main threat will be a gust of wind. Make sure to fix the Christmas decorations on the outside so they don’t spread out. A brief tornado is also possible, the greatest chance of happening is from northeastern South Carolina to North Carolina. Today’s highs will be in the 70s before the cold front brings cold temperatures to 30 degrees at night. The highs on Christmas Day will drop in the mid-1940s, but at least we are dry and sunny for Friday! The weekend looks good, but winter has cold temperatures on the 40’s and 50’s on the Saturday on Sunday.
