UPDATED, EXCLUSIVE SUNDAY, 15h06: Deadline learned that the person who was injured yesterday after falling from a helicopter outside the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, CA was Seal Team actor Justin Melnick. However, the accident the actor was involved in was in a shoot for a private commercial and completely different from the CBS action war series.
Melnick previously served as a dog trainer in Seal Team before being promoted to a recurring actor, playing Brock Reynolds. Deadline hears that Melnick is at home and recovering without serious injuries. Authorities said yesterday that he fell from 5 to 6 meters as he launched himself from the helicopter.
Melnick works with Belgian Maliniois Dita, who plays an explosive detector dog Seal Team, the canine performing acrobatics on helicopter rides to climb stairs. Melnick originally trained her as part of an Indiana police search and rescue team he worked with, and then transferred her to narcotics detection.

UPDATE, Saturday, 9:30 pm: Deadline learned that it was possibly a stuntman who fell from a helicopter this afternoon outside the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita, CA and was rushed to the hospital. The person was getting out of the helicopter quickly.

Local authorities and Blue Cloud Movie Ranch did not provide details about which film or TV production was being filmed at the time of the accident.

PREVIOUS, Saturday 19h47: An adult man who was abseiling from a helicopter and fell near the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch was hospitalized late Saturday afternoon.
According to reports from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the KHTS radio station, the person was conscious in stable condition when first aid arrived on the scene.
The deadline arrived at Blue Cloud Movie Ranch tonight, which provided no comment and no indication as to which TV or film production was involved in the helicopter incident.
Blue Cloud Movie Ranch is a 250-acre movie studio that is 30 miles north of Los Angeles, with locations that can double into the Middle East and Afghanistan. These productions filmed there include Iron Man, Iron Man 3, American sniper as well as TV series Development held, SHIELD agents and True Blood.
