Hori’s Monster Hunter Rise Split Pad Pro will launch in the west next month

You should remember that last month, accessory maker Hori revealed that it will be launching a Monster Hunter Rise edition of its popular Split Pad Pro controller. Previously, it was only confirmed for Japan, but now, a new list from Amazon tells us that it will be released in North America on April 26th.

Costing $ 59.99, the Split Pad Pro can only be used in portable mode, but offers a good alternative for players who find Nintendo’s standard Joy-Con a little also little. Also included are a pair of additional buttons on the back of the controllers (which can be assigned to any other button of your choice) and a turbo function.

Here is the official product description:

Hunters can prepare to track and defeat monsters with the special edition of the Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro (Monster Hunter). Relive the life-size controller experience in portable mode with full-size analog controls, a precision d-pad and large shoulder buttons. Designed for comfort and accuracy, even during marathon hunting sessions.

Advanced features include assignable rear triggers, functionally turbo and more for complex attacks and commands. Perfect for fast-paced action RPG titles like Monster Hunter Rise and many other genres. Enhance your gaming experience with Split Pad Pro! Officially licensed by Nintendo and Capcom.

(It is not a wireless controller – only for portable mode. It does not include motion controls, HD Rumble, NFC or infrared camera. Note: If you have problems with the switch to recognize Split Pad Pro, make sure that all Joys -Con are turned off and not connected via Bluetooth.)

The Split Pad Pro from Rise does not appear to be available in Europe yet, although you can still find earlier options – including the Black, Red and Pikachu variants.
