When you’re a celebrity parent, you do what you can to make your kids have as normal a childhood as possible. For some celebrities, this means avoiding paparazzi at all costs or not allowing their children to watch their films – or simply keeping the fact that Mom or Dad is famous in secret. But sooner or later, thanks to tons of fans who admire asking for autographs, the feedback is gone. For Jessica Alba’s daughter Honor, the realization that her mother is actually a high-profile actress took her completely by surprise – and in fact, Alba revealed during the Ellen DeGeneres Show that it was actually a schoolmate who made Alba’s daughter suspect of her mother’s celebrity status.
“At the beginning of my life, they didn’t know that I was an actress,” said Alba. “I remember when Honor was like the first year, she was mortified and came home and said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me!’ She knew I was working at the Honest Company, that’s how they met me. ”Alba launched The Honest Company in 2011, three years after Honor’s birth, so it makes sense that the little girl only recognizes her mother for the work she did with her natural baby and beauty company, and not for her TV work and at the movies.

Alba continued to remember her daughter’s indignation, with Honor returning from school and saying, “‘You never told me you would be in supermarkets and Target!'” She explained that Honor’s friend brought a magazine to school with Alba’s face and “put Honor on high.” “And Honor was like, ‘What’s going on? Why are you in this magazine? What’s going on here?’ So I had to tell her that I was an actress and sometimes I do the magazines – and she felt so betrayed! ”Alba laughed.
The actress shares Honor, Haven and baby Hayes with her husband, Cash Warren. And although Honor was clearly surprised to discover her mother’s secret identity, Alba confirmed that, despite her fame, she is really like any other mother in the eyes of her children.

“They think I’m so grouchy,” said Alba on the program. “They think I’m the most grumpy mom, the definition of grumpy. In fact, they said I should use the hashtag #CringeyMom. I’m like, ‘This is so cruel! There are many more grumpy mothers than me, boys! ‘They’re like,’ Even saying that, Mom, sucks. ‘ “
Hey, we think being a grumpy mom is just part of the package!
