  • Honor introduced the Band 6 fitness tracker with a huge 1.47-inch screen that rivals smartwatches.
  • You can also expect pillars like a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking and period tools.
  • It will cost about $ 35.

How do you excel in a field crowded with fitness devices? Offering a screen that can make your smartwatch look small. The newly independent Honor introduced a Band 6 fitness tracker whose centerpiece is a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen – for context, even the company’s Watch GS Pro itself has a smaller screen. You won’t have to look at your stats in the middle of a run.

You’ll also see a number of health activities and resources that you hope Honor will bring to a fitness tracker. Band 6 includes a heart rate sensor and blood oxygen monitoring. You can also monitor sleep, stress levels and menstrual cycles. The device supports 10 types of exercises and will automatically detect six of them if you forget to start an activity.

Like many fitness trackers, the Honor Band 6 is built to last up to 14 days of “typical” use (10 days under heavier use) and 5ATM water resistance compatible with swimming.

Honor did not discuss availability beyond a promise that Band 6 would launch “soon”, but said he expected a price around $ 35 in the countries where the device will be shipped. In other words, Honor’s wearable must be highly competitive with Xiaomi fitness trackers and other major rivals.
