“I can’t give her mom to Alana,” added Pumpkin. “It’s like I’m drowning.”
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson confronted her mother, “Mama June” Shannon, with her most recent fear of recovering from June’s substance abuse.
In Friday’s preview at the upcoming “Mama June: Road to Redemption”, the beauty pageant star and her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, met June for the first time since June completed a rehab period.

“You don’t know how many nights I cry myself to sleep just hoping and praying that you don’t overdose,” said Alana crying, as June started to tear up.
Lauryn, who became Alana’s guardian after June disappeared, added, “I can’t give her mother to Alana. It’s like I’m drowning.”
The clip ends when Lauryn’s husband Josh suggests taking Alana to see Sugar Bear, while June tells boyfriend Geno Doak, “This could be a disaster.”
Meanwhile, Lauryn recently talked about meeting June with TooFab, explaining how she took care of Alana while June and Geno spent $ 1 million in a year on drugs.
“When we met on the show this time, we hadn’t seen her physically for a year,” said Lauryn. “So, this is hard to hear. I mean, it really is, knowing that – not trying to sound mean and not trying to look hungry for money – but knowing that me and Josh were struggling trying to do everything we could to keep a roof over the head of Alana and Ella. It’s like, but you were here blowing a million dollars and you couldn’t help me? ‘”
She also explained how she is not sure that June really understands the great effect that her drug use has had on their family.
“I think she still doesn’t fully understand the problems she left for me, because having to take care of Alana, I feel that she is grateful, but I feel that the way she says she appreciates it. I want it to be a little more sincere than that. “said the Pumpkin. “It is very difficult because someone who should be there and support, just doesn’t look like that. I did all these things and I matured as a woman and now I have to face the consequences and I wasn’t even the addict.”
“It’s not like, okay, I just take care of Alana. Like, I have to go through the problems of my marriage, which caused problems there, ”he added. “Basically, it caused a stir in everyone’s life, and it’s like, she sees it, but she doesn’t see it.”
“Mama June: Road to Redemption” airs new episodes every Friday at 9 pm on WE.
