Erin Napier is asking his fans to contribute financially to the recovery of Jeffrey Stewart, an electrician from Hometown who was injured after falling from a ladder.
On Friday, HGTV’s personality, who stars in the home renovation series alongside husband Ben Napier, shared a link in his Instagram story to a GoFundMe page that was started by Carrie Aguirre for Stewart’s family to increase the goal $ 10,000.
“This is Mr. Jeffrey, one of our dear friends and electrician at Hometown, “Erin, 35, wrote her story on Instagram, according to Popculture.” He was seriously injured in an occupational accident this week (not in Hometown), and he needs our help! “
According to the GoFundMe page, Stewart “suffered a terrible fall from a ladder and suffered serious injuries that required him to be flown to FGH for surgery”.
While Stewart “is doing well now”, he “faces a long recovery with months of work stoppage and a pile of medical bills to pay,” said Aguirre, adding, “I am asking for any help you can provide to this family. you know the Stewart, you know how kind, generous and loving they are. Let’s show them a show of support during this troubled time. “
A representative for Discovery Inc., the parent company of HGTV, did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Hometown follows the couple Erin, an artist who became a designer, and Ben, a church minister who became a cabinetmaker, as they find and renovate homes for families in Laurel, Mississippi. The series debuted on HGTV in 2016 and recently debuted its fifth season.
In addition, Napiers have two spinoff series: Hometown: Ben’s Workshop, now available on Discovery + and Acquisition of the hometown, which should debut this year on HGTV. They also have two expanding retail stores in Laurel (Laurel Mercantile Co. and General Store), their Scotsman Co. line of furniture and a memoir Do Something Good Ally.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in December, Erin and Ben, who share 3-year-old daughter Helen, said they are grateful every minute for their continued success.
“We still have those moments, as if all of this is surreal,” said Erin. “But best of all, we never planned on any of this. Not a thing. So I would like to continue doing this. We feel very lucky that this is all happening to us.”
