The CDC’s request, signed by the director of the agency’s Global Migration and Quarantine Division, says people should wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth during public transport and while waiting for a ride. In addition, masks must fit perfectly and must not have exhalation valves or holes. If someone chooses to use a gaiter, it must be made with two layers of fabric or folded to form two layers.
