Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale expands vaccines to under 65 with certain conditions – NBC 6 South Florida

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale is expanding the eligibility of the COVID-19 vaccine to include people under the age of 65 who have certain conditions.

The hospital said priority will be given to patients at Holy Cross Medical Group.

To receive the vaccine, you must meet the following criteria:

• Asthma
• Cancer (current / under treatment)
• Cardiomyopathy
• Chronic kidney disease
• COPD
• Down’s syndrome
• Cardiac insufficiency
• Hypertension
• Obesity greater than 30kg / m2
• Organ transplantation
• Pregnant
• Sickle cell
• Type 2 diabetes with comorbidity (listed above)

To request an appointment for someone who meets the above criteria, hand in the registration / consent form (with the accompanying doctor’s note / prescription indicating the patient’s condition) at the COVID Vaccine Center, 4701 N. Federal Highway, Bldg. Ç.

“We encourage you to take advantage of all the alternatives to receive the vaccine if you have the opportunity to be vaccinated,” said Santa Cruz in a statement. “Please continue to be patient. It will take some time to vaccinate everyone who is eligible.”
