Hollywood residents have a cow after the disfigured signage

Hollywood residents had a real cow on Friday, when the iconic sign on the hillside of the Los Angeles neighborhood was vandalized for the second time this year.

Three men in their 20s were arrested after allegedly disfiguring the landmark by placing a cow’s head over the first “O”, reports the LA Times, citing police sources.

Six people were arrested in February after changing the sign to “Hollyboob”, including adult publisher “Shag Mag” Julia Rose, according to reports.

The cow head joke may have been a publicity stunt by local band Junior Varsity, reports TMZ.

The band recently released their first single, “Cold Blood”, which has a cow on the cover, while its social media tells people to “look for the signs,” noted TMZ.

“It’s really unfortunate that people want to make a statement at the sign,” Hollywood Sign Trust president Mark Panatier told the LA Times, calling the police and rangers’ response “spectacular.”

The names of the men have not yet been released. They will be fined for trespassing on illegal property, according to the police.
