Holly Robinson Peete says Sharon Osbourne called her “too much ghetto”

Holly Robinson Peete claimed on Friday that Sharon Osbourne complained that she was “too ghetto” to co-host “The Talk” – and suggested that she may have lost her job because of it.

Earlier this week, Osbourne got into a heated discussion on the air with co-host Sheryl Underwood about Osbourne’s defense of his longtime friend Piers Morgan, whose criticism of Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was considered racist.

Osbourne – who demanded that Underwood educate her about racism – wept during the fight, suggesting that her co-hosts were accusing her of being racist just for defending Morgan.

But on Friday, Robinson Peete – who co-hosted the first season of the talk show in 2010 – suggested that the shoe would do.

“I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too ‘ghetto’ for # theTalk … so I left. I bring this up now because I was mortified to see the disrespectful and condescending tone she took with her co-host, who remained calm and respectful because … she HAD to, ” Robinson Peete tweeted. “I was always a road girl, but when I watched what everyone else saw on my previous show … it woke me up and I wanted to talk,” she added on Instagram.

Osbourne then he apologized and said he does not “tolerate racism, misogyny or intimidation”.

“For anyone of color who I offended and / or for anyone who is confused or discouraged by what I said, I am really sorry,” she said.

Meanwhile, Morgan criticized Osbourne’s “bullies” for forcing his mea culpa and demanded an apology from “The Talk” for “his shameful slanders against me”.

A representative of “The Talk” and Osbourne did not comment on Robinson Peete’s accusation.
