Hoffman will return to Virginia Tech for the 2021 season

After considering entering the 2020 NFL Draft, the Virginia Tech offensive striker Brock Hoffman announced his intentions to return to Blacksburg for the 2021 football season.

Hoffman, a transfer from Coastal Carolina, was left out of the 2019 season due to NCAA transfer restrictions. During the 2020 season, Hoffman started all games for the Hokies at the center, winning the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week award after his game against NC State and Louisville.

“I would like to thank my coaches, family and teammates for supporting me in such an eventful and abnormal year. Being part of the rich tradition that the Virginia Tech Football Program has been a blessing for.

“2020 has not allowed Hokie Nation to occupy those places at Lane Stadium this season, an experience I have long wanted. I can only hope and pray that it will have this incredible experience for me and my teammates in 2021.

“I will continue to be the leader that coach Fuente and coach Vice brought me here to lead this team for a championship season!

“#VICESQUAD is not ready yet !!! #ToughStays”

Before signing up for Virginia Tech, Hoffman started 12 games at the center as a freshman, followed by 12 more games on the right guard.

After the 2020 season, Hoffman was named All-ACC Honorable Mention.

“Hoffman started all 11 competitions at the center and helped the Hokies run for 240.1 yards per game, which came in second at the conference. The technology scored 27 run TDs in the season and accumulated more than 200 run yards eight times, 250+ six times and 300 or more run yards on three occasions. Hoffman was named the offensive striker of the week for ACC twice (9/28) and (2/11). “
