Hobby Lobby, a chain of craft stores, is canceling its 40% discount coupon offered at more than 900 stores across the country and online.
The move, which will take effect on February 28, will allow Hobby Lobby to increase its efforts to discount thousands of items every day, the company said on Facebook, according to USA Today.
“This will offer a better value instead of providing a discount on just one item with the coupon,” Hobby Lobby said.

Several customers were disappointed by the news, with some saying in comments on Facebook that the coupon was the only reason that encouraged them to shop in the Hobby Lobby, USA Today reported.
An online petition to reverse the decision is circulating on Change.org and has been shared on the Hobby Lobby Facebook page.
“Yes, they have sales, but sometimes you need that extra thing at 40% off because it’s full. That’s why we love the Hobby Lobby, for the little things ”, said the petition. “And in these difficult times, don’t take that away from us.”

Customers can still use the coupon until March 14 because of the grace period, according to a blog by The Karzy Coupon Lady.
