Having recovered its development costs in less than a week, Hitman 3 it may be Agent 47’s last assignment for now. IO Interactive is moving to Project 007, but just gave us more news about Hitman 3’s post-launch support.
Now, Agent 47 has had some interesting missions in its time, but content with the theme “seven deadly sins” is not quite what we expected to hear. As of March 30, Act 1 begins with Greed, and IO Interactive offers more details on its official website, confirming:
We are pleased to announce HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins, a new premium 7-part expansion for HITMAN 3 that takes players deep into Agent 47’s mind. Featuring new gaming opportunities, visually distinct contracts and exclusive sin-themed rewards, HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins it will subvert expectations and challenge players to resist each of the seven sins.
HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins will be released over time through seven exclusive content packs. Each of the seven packages is focused on a different sin and includes a visually distinctive contract, an unlockable sin-themed suit and at least one sin-themed item that can be used throughout the World of Murder. Some items may also have unique properties to remind you of the sin that inspired them … The first content pack will be available on March 30 and will invite players to return to Dubai, where coins are overflowing and new game mechanics will try your personal greed.
The focus of Act 1: Greed is a new escalation called Greed Enumeration, which allows you to carry certain items between each of the three stages. Feeling greedy? Prove it! In addition to the new Escalation, Act 1: Greed also includes the unlockable Rapacious Suit and two sin themed items; the greedy little coin and the devil’s cane.
Each of these sin-based content packs will cost 4.99 / £ 4.99 / € 4.99. If you prefer to buy all seven as a package, the Seven Deadly Sins Collection it comes a little cheaper for $ 29.99 / £ 29.99 / € 29.99.
If you don’t get carried away by this, don’t be afraid. IO Interactive confirms that it will still be adding new “live content”, including referrals, featured contracts and elusive goals. The monthly roadmaps are being renamed “Seasons of Sin”, but, unlike the new content packs, these missions remain completely free.
