Former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton took a victory lap on Wednesday morning, proclaiming a victory in both races for the Georgia Senate, although only one race has been called, with Rev. Raphael Warnock designed to win.
“Congratulations to the new Georgia senators and everyone who organized and voted to get them there. It’s a new day,” wrote the former First Lady and Secretary of State on Twitter, along with a photo of Warnock and his colleague Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff.
The Fox News Decision Bureau projected Democrat Warnock to beat Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler early on Wednesday morning. Leading by 0.8 percent with 98% of the votes cast, Warnock was ahead by 54,595 votes.
The dispute between Republican Senator David Perdue and Ossoff was still too close to be decided, but Ossoff was ahead by more than 17,000 votes.

“Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell,” Clinton tweeted moments later.
If Ossoff wins the Senate seat in his race, the upper house of Congress will be split 50/50, and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will serve as a tiebreaker vote.
Clinton also retweeted a 2016 tweet from Senator Lindsey Graham, RS.C., where the senator said: “If we nominate Trump, we will be destroyed … and we will deserve it.”
