Congratulations to Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma! The couple welcomed their second baby, a girl named Mae.

On Saturday, the Younger star shared a black and white photo of his family on Instagram in a pool, where Duff presumably gave birth. “Mae James Bair. We LOVE her beauty between 24 and 21,” wrote the 33-year-old actress. On Friday, Duff posted a subtle clue that she had given birth with a photo of her 2-year-old daughter Banks, who she shares with Koma, who was wearing a baseball cap that said “Girl” in the photo. The actress also has a son named Luca, 9, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

“I’m an older sister … thinking about how I feel about this!” Duff, 33, wrote on Instagram. Duff also had a water birth with Banks in 2018 and said he would “do it all over again” for subsequent pregnancies.

Duff, who recently told Yahoo Life that he spent the remaining months of his pregnancy focusing on exercise, had an eventful pregnancy. In November, she was exposed to COVID-19 and quarantined for 14 days, following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She also had an eye infection for which she went to the emergency room and antibiotics were prescribed. This month, Duff had a pregnancy symptom called “groin in a flash”, which she called “quite traumatic” during an appearance O Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The pelvic condition, called dysfunction of the symphysis pubis, brings acute pain during pregnancy. “Some people experience a twinge of pain, while others experience chronic pain,” said Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, clinical professor of obstetrics and reproductive sciences at Yale University School of Medicine Health.

Duff and Koma did not learn the sex of the baby before it was born. “We had a gender reveal with Banks and it was such a fun memory,” said Duff People in December. “Unfortunately, during those times, we thought it was not really appropriate. The way we are creating some excitement within the family is to wait to discover sex on the baby’s birthday!”
