Hilaria Baldwin back on Instagram after Spanish heritage scandal

She’s back!

Hilaria Baldwin returned to social media on Friday, posting a photo of her with her husband Alec Baldwin and their five children.

The pseudo-Spanish, 37, missed the public eye for a month after it was discovered that she was actually born Hillary Hayward-Thomas and raised in Boston, unlike Mallorca, as many people believed.

“I spent the last month listening, reflecting and wondering how I can learn and grow,” she started with a long caption. “My parents raised me and my brother with two cultures, American and Spanish, and I feel a real sense of belonging to both.”

She continued: “The way I talked about myself and my deep connection with two cultures could have been better explained – I should have been clearer and I’m sorry. I am proud of the way I was raised and we are raising our children to share the same love and respect for both. Being vulnerable and striving to learn and grow is what we build our community with, and I hope to return to the supportive and kind environment we have built together. “

The Hilaria scandal unfolded in December after a Twitter user called her with a simple comment, “I have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to his decade-old wife, where she pretends to be a Spaniard”

From then on, Hilaria’s life imploded as clips resurfaced, including one of her pretending not to know the English word for cucumber on the “Today” show. She also struggled to sign her 2009 income tax return.

She later insisted that she only hid her past as a Bostonian to protect the privacy of her parents – who later moved to Spain.

Hilaria said earlier that she would take a break from the social media platform in December, but posted a few hours later.

Alec, 62, took a break from social media last month, promising to stay away from Twitter after the scandal.

A representative from Hilaria did not respond immediately.
