Garcia vs. Campbell took place on January 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) fought Campbell (20-4, 16 KOs) for a vague provisional lightweight title in the main event, which aired live on DAZN.
Garcia won the knockout fight at the 1:58 mark of the seventh round, after hitting a brutal body shot that left Campbell unable to continue. Garcia, who survived a knockdown in the second round, won the WBC title and extended his unbeaten streak to 21 fights.

Round 1: Garcia takes the central ring first and punches his paws, then throws one in the body. Campbell looking for his reach and paws with his left hand. Garcia’s left hook misses and Campbell counters with his left hand. Jab lands up the stairs for Garcia, who is too aggressive to start the fight. Jab goes down the stairs to Garcia. Campbell lands on the left to the bo as an accountant. Another left for the body scores for Campbell, but Garcia comes back and hits a direct right that takes Campbell off balance. The right hand hits Garcia’s body as part of a three-punch combination. Campbell’s Jab lands partially. Garcia moves on and throws some punches that Campbell blocks very well. The left wing lands for Campbell while Garcia shows him his tongue. Left to the body makes partial contact for Garcia. I think Garcia was mainly the boss in that round. Garcia 10-9.
2nd round: Campbell hits a hard left hand on the body. Garcia comes back with a punch to the body. Another left of the body makes solid contact with Campbell. Garcia’s right hand is blocked. Garcia tries to open with powerful shots while Campbell covers over the ropes before finding an escape route. Campbell jumps up the stairs and falls a little short. Jab from the lands of Garcia, CAMPBELL HITS GARCIA WITH AN ACCOUNTANT! Garcia gets up and wants to continue! Campbell’s left hand lands on the floor below. Campbell doesn’t go crazy and puts his left hand on the top floor. Lunging left errors for Campbell. Garcia hits a left hook on the body. Campbell’s left hand is a little short again. Garcia tries to come back with a few punches, but they don’t land clean. Campbell 10-8, 19-18.
Round 3: Garcia tries to align a straight right that misses. Campbell punches the body. Garcia misses on another right hand that he carries. Campbell slides along the strings and measures with his left hand before throwing one at the body. Campbell left just falls after a punch. Jab lands for Campbell, but the left does not. Another well-aimed shot by Campbell throws Garcia’s head back. Garcia hits a left to the body. Campbell’s left hand marks the top floor. Garcia misses a few shots when unloading, but Campbell covers himself well. Campbell takes a lunge shot that takes a little force from the punch. The strike lands for Campbell. Campbell’s left punctuates upstairs, then a punch to the body. Garcia throws a few punches, but Campbell shoots back to get off the ropes. Close the circle, but I think Campbell largely controlled Garcia with his boxing. Campbell 10-9.
Round 4: Garcia hits a right to the body, but misses his right hand. Campbell tries to shoot himself, but Garcia dodges him. Jab on the body doesn’t fit well for Campbell. Garcia plays some, but does not make solid contact. Jab in the body lands for Campbell, but Garcia comes back with two. Campbell returns to the body with his left hand, then another. Garcia’s right lands very well up there. Another right hand from Garcia makes good contact. Campbell drops a little to the left to the body before dodging a hook from Garcia. Left to the body hits Campbell. Right to left lands up the stairs and Garcia comes back with some punches. The left straight returns to the body for Campbell. Garcia’s left hook doesn’t fall clean, but he makes some contact. I like Campbell’s left to the body this round. Campbell 10-9, 39-36.
Round 5: Garcia presses forward and hits a left hand, but takes a short in return. Campbell’s Jab lands upstairs. Now Campbell punches the body and makes contact. Garcia partially hits a right-hand advantage. Left hook to the body hits Garcia. Garcia shoots and makes partial contact again, but Campbell hits a left to the body. Now Garcia is warned of a punch falling below the waist. Garcia steps forward and Campbell hits a left in the chest. The right hand lands for Garcia this time. The direct right hand hits Garcia in the head. Campbell returns with the left and Garcia plays two back. Garcia’s agitation knocks Campbell back. Campbell returns in his jab and touches the body. Check the hook lands for Garcia on the bell and hurt Campbell! Garcia 10-9.
Round 6: Campbell must have some respect here, as Garcia is on the attack and playing with both hands trying to submit Campbell! Garcia gets a little wild and is tied with Campbell in the center of the ring. Jab in the body lands for Campbell. Direct from Garcia does not quite find his target. Campbell hits a left to the body in the middle of a combination. Campbell tries to hit the body. Garcia eats Campbell’s left as he doubles. Garcia returns to the front behind a lead on the right. Jab lands on Garcia’s body. Garcia’s left hook has Campbell in retreat. Campbell takes a shot to move Garcia away momentarily. Garcia dominated the opening minute and that probably means a round for him. Garcia 10-9, 56-57.
Round 7: Campbell steps forward and hits a few shots early. Campbell’s Jab makes partial contact. Take it straight from Garcia’s lands to the head. Left to Campbell’s body it doesn’t fall clean. Left for the body lands for Garcia. Garcia jumps from a shot to Campbell’s body. A body shot from Garcia puts Campbell on the ground! CAMPBELL CANNOT GET UP. Garcia KO-7.
