Today we see the launch of an adaptation of the board game Stardew Valley, the fan favorite farmer simulator that has conquered the indie world in recent years.
A reveal trailer (above) gives us the first taste of the game’s look, while an official website offers a little more detail. The game is a cooperative experience with seasonal cards, Villager cards, tools, items, crops, minerals and more, all based on the video game and was developed by Stardew Valley creator Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone and Cole Medeiros, who has worked in the board games Web of Spies and GUBS (thanks, Eurogamer).
Stardew Valley: the board game is a cooperative game where players work together to restore the Valley. They do this by growing crops, raising animals, expanding their farms and collecting resources across the Valley.
By making friends with the locals, players win hearts that allow them to reveal hidden goals. Only by working together will they prevent Joja Corporation from moving and screwing up.
So choose your profession and get your starting tool; Stardew Valley needs you!
If you are interested in purchasing it, it is available for purchase at this time for $ 55. Currently, it is being shipped to the US only, although efforts are being made to make it available elsewhere as well.
The game store page notes that this “is not a quick casual game”, warning that anyone looking for a short game time may not make the most of it. “While he It is easy to play, once you know the rules, “says the list,” it’s supposed to be challenging “.
