Here’s what’s left in the Destiny 2 Chosen Season

We’re past the middle of the Destiny 2’s chosen season, which I think you could argue with it could it will be the best Destiny 2 season so far, but I will have that debate another day. For now, I wanted to focus on what’s yet to come this season based on what we to meet is still coming, and what we can imagine it to be.

The script is getting very sparse, but I have a feeling that there are more plans planned than we are seeing right now.

In the script

Proving Grounds Strike (March 23) – This is a significant addition to the game, both as a completely new coup, joining the replayed Cosmodrome that arrived this season, but also because it seems to be the culmination of the Caiatl storyline where we face its champion to try to make Kabbalah bow to our will. My guess is that we’re going to strike next week as part of the Battlefield plot, and then we’ll have a cutscene of Caiatl’s “all right, you won”, which could mark the beginning of a real alliance with her.

Guardian Games (April 20 to May 9) – The Guardian Games are still a month away, but we already know at least a few things about it. This time, you will have to commit to a class for the event instead of playing on the field with all three, and we know that the activity is a playlist with special modifiers based on the class you are teaching. Heir Apparent is coming back with a catalyst now, and although “new exotic equipment” is promised, it may just be exotic cosmetics. One thing that I am curious about is the segment of the “closing ceremony” from the 7th to the 9th of May, which should be the end of the season, something that we did not see last time. I am wondering if there will be any history development during this period, and if we could end with a live event this time.

Off the Road

End of Glykon? – This is something I’m curious about. While the mission dialogue is now being repeated after three weeks, we must execute it several times more to embody the complete tradition book and open all the secret rooms. I wonder if the datapad in the final room will perhaps unlock … something more special. A room with the crown of sadness and perhaps where Calus himself is hiding. Caiatl seems determined to be on the ship somewhere, and I hope this has a real solution in the future.

Exotic hammer? – Yes, I am going back to my personal theory of there being an exotic third this season, as two seem clear to how substantive the rest of this season is, and I maintain that we may be receiving the Hammer of Proof as a real exotic weapon when all of this finish, the first without a sword that is not a battle ax of Saladin (which was not a real piece of equipment). Again, just my theory, but I wouldn’t be surprised if another exotic secret was lurking besides Dead Man’s Tale before we reached the end of the season.

Crow Reveal? – I say that we are on the way to Crow becoming the Hunter Vanguard with all his recent services to the cause, and now he is in charge of being Zavala’s bodyguard. I don’t know if he will be Vanguard at the end of the season here (probably not), but it sure looks like it’s time for everyone to find out that Crow is Uldren, and the implications of the story for that. Who will accept you as a new person? Who doesn’t?

Extended battlefield mission? – I would like to know if after this week’s strike, the Battlefield mission will simply end or not. It is possible that there is still more content to Caiatl’s story in the last month of the season and that, although the strike is a “moment”, it is not the end. So, maybe we still have a weekly search with the development of the story every week, even after that, I’m not sure.

Anyway, these are my thoughts on what’s to come. I would love to hear your own theories too.
