Here’s what you can get for $ 800,000 in Charleston, South Carolina

The Charleston, South Carolina real estate market has broken records.

Although the pandemic slowed the market at the beginning of the year, house prices recovered and even more. The average selling price of a single family home in Charleston in September rose 20% year on year, from $ 370,973 to $ 445,000, according to the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors.

Meanwhile, inventory fell 49.9% year-on-year in September and homes were spending an average of nine days less on the market compared to the previous year, according to the Realtors group.

Low mortgage rates and low inventories have driven prices in many areas in recent months, but Charleston was getting a boost even before the pandemic. Last year, Realtor.com predicted that Charleston would be one of 2020’s “top real estate markets” as an affordable alternative for larger cities.
