Sony’s hard-to-find PlayStation 5 console may be hitting shelves today.
According to the Spiel Times, several Target employees said that the PS5 will be back in stock at Target sometime between Sunday, 27 and Tuesday, 29. It seems likely that this will not happen today, since refueling at retailer usually takes place in the early hours of the morning.
This means that – if the reports are correct – the PS5 may be available for purchase tomorrow or Tuesday morning, with refueling normally occurring between 5 am and 7 am.
This varies by location, and all units will only be available online for purchase for delivery or pick up at the store. You won’t find a PS5 on store shelves for a long time, thanks to the shortage and pandemic of COVID-19.

You will want to be logged into your Target account with a payment method saved and ready to use. If refueling occurs in the early hours of the morning, you’ll want to wake up early to make sure.
Note: This is not a guarantee. This news has not been officially confirmed by Sony or Target. It’s a chance and a chance just to get your hands on a PS5.
But remember: unless you’re dying to play Demon’s Souls, there’s really no compelling reason to buy a PS5 right now (or an Xbox Series X).
The fact is, there just aren’t that many next generation exclusives to play with. Almost everything, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it can still be played on high-end consoles. That will change in 2021, but we suspect it will be much easier to find these consoles in the new year (not immediately, of course).
Still, good luck to you. And whatever you do, don’t buy over-priced systems from scalpers on eBay or other reseller sites. The PS5 is a good console. It is worth the MSRP and not a penny more.
